Over 10 companies attended the first meet-up of the Singapore Corporate Venture Building Community (CVBC). Co-created by ENGIE Factory, Mandai and SC Ventures and supported by EDB, the CVBC was created in recognition of the desire for people in corporates interested in this space to connect and share.
It was incredible to hear the variety of ways in which corporate venture building is growing in Singapore, and inspiring to hear how individuals had challenged and pushed boundaries to create these opportunities. It was also heart-warming to hear that we’re facing similar challenges across the group, with topics ranging from obtaining suitable internal support through to understanding how to obtain external funding. It was also exciting to know that there’s a desire to support each other’s ventures and look for ways to co-collaborate!
Over the coming few months, we’ll be running more sessions to help address some of the topics at the top of the community’s mind. If you’re interested to join, please let us know here.
Many thanks to EDB for powering this event, and a shout out to the team at Vertigo26 for the excellent venue!
